In-Home ABA Therapy
Creating goals with your family in mind
Treatment That’s Convenient
Our Home and Community Services are designed to give your child the personalized attention they need to reach their goals.
Our behavior technicians (BTs) provide one-on-one support at home or in the community, meeting with your child for a predetermined number of hours each week. Your BT will work closely with you and your family to create a program that is tailored to your specific needs. By focusing on skills and objectives that are important to you, you can be sure that our services are providing the best care possible. The goal is to help your child develop the skills necessary for a successful healthy life.
At Home
From the moment we start treatment, we serve as your teammate.
Our home-based sessions offer a great opportunity to help build skills with activities that are already part of your natural and routine life. A board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) will observe the environment in your home to better understand how your family works. During this time, you can share any goals that you have for your child’s development. Together, we’ll create a treatment plan based on these goals and your daily routines, breaking it down into small achievable goals for your child. To carry out this plan, we bring in a highly trained behavior technician (BT) who works under the guidance of the BCBA and delivers care in the comfort of your own home.
The objectives usually revolve around important skills such as grooming, toileting training, and healthy eating habits. ABA therapy at home provides an environment that is both comfortable and familiar for your child.
We’re here to provide the right tools, training, and ongoing support to make that possible.
In the Community
Real life doesn’t just happen inside four walls. When you and your child are ready to take the next step in their therapy journey, we can expand their sessions out into the community.
No two children with autism are the same, so the skills and pace will be unique to your child’s situation. Community outings can provide an opportunity to take the social skills they’ve acquired in-home and practice them in a more public space.
Whether it’s taking a trip to the local library, park, restaurant, or grocery store, a BT will help your child practice age-appropriate activities that are essential for everyday living. It could be teaching them how to select and return a book from the library shelves, wait in line at the store, place an order at a restaurant, or even understand safety protocols like crossing streets and sidewalks.
At BCI, we focus on functional skills your child can practice and master to help make community outings a success. We’ll practice social awareness, physical awareness, and safety. We’ll tailor activities to support your unique family values and lifestyle. These skills will also build your child’s sense of self-confidence and self-awareness.
As a parent, you may be eager to help your child develop practical skills they need to be successful. From toilet training and learning how to dress themselves to sleeping through the night and managing their emotions, whatever goals you have for your child, our team of experts can provide the necessary support.
We are here to lend a helping hand and provide you with the necessary skills to tackle the unique challenges that come with life on the autism spectrum. With our comprehensive range of services, we strive to empower you and your child to thrive and reach your goals.
